When a prospective client comes to see you, do you charge for the
first consultation?

It depends. For cases that will be handled on an hourly basis, we charge from the start of the representation. We charge for the first meeting involving an employment dispute. For other contingent fee cases, we do not charge for the initial consultation. We never charge without telling the client in advance, so they can decide whether to incur the expense.
